(While this is a WIP as I go through and add varying Mutations over time, the basics of the system are set)
Mutation Classes
Classes, or Rank, of Mutation are ranked on letter rankings. These are used in determining the level and power of the mutation one is born with and is recorded at birth. A person’s mutation class is indeterminate of their social and political standing for the most part, although there is some discrimination of Gifted and Ungifted, but this is mostly seen in the flying cities or surface cities trying to little or no avail to please those in the flying cities.
Mutation classes CANNOT be ranked up, they are set, although the ranges within these levels of ability vary widely within their own letter ranking.
Example: An A+ can potentially be mistaken for an S- or an A. Not all A+ will be the same strength, but all are relatively similar within their rank.
➤ S-, S, S+: S-Classed Mutations are the highest ranked and included among the Gifted levels of Mutations. S+ comprises the highest of all Mutations at their fullest abilities. Some, rare few, are always designated S+ immediately upon finding them out (example being Healing). S-Classed Mutations are ALWAYS put into Primary.
➤ A-, A, A+: A-Classed Mutations are exceptionally high and A- is the beginning of where one is called a Gifted with their Mutation. Those who have A-Classed Mutations have the above average use and skill of their given mutations, being exceptionally talented. Some Mutations can only go up as high as A+, and are ALWAYS put into Primary.
➤ B-, B, B+: Highest ranked of the Ungifted, or general population. Those who have B-Classed Mutations have the average use and skill of their given mutations. Some Mutations can only go up as high as B+, and are either Primary OR Secondary.
➤ C-, C, C+: Middle ranked of the Ungifted, or general population. Those who have C-Classed Mutations have the average/just below average use and skill of their given mutations. Some Mutations can only go up as high as C+, and are generally considered as Secondary with some exceptions.

➤ Unhinged: While not a technical Class, and more of a designation The Unhinged are those whose mutations did not harmonise and thus caused the individual at some point in their life to be so chaotically unbalanced that they lost control of themselves. An unfortunate phenomena, but one that does happen, although it is not as common as one would think, but still happening enough for it to not be unheard of. It is not a guarantee that one will become an Unhinged if they have an imbalance in their mutations, but the risk will always be there and remain for their entire lives.

Mutation Types
➤ Primary: The Primary Mutation an individual will have. If one is Gifted, this is where that would manifest in as it would be the stronger of the Mutations.
➤ Secondary: The Secondary, and sometimes Tertiary if one does not have an A-S Class, mutation listed in an individual’s abilities. Secondary Mutations often provide a balance or harmony to a Primary Mutation, preventing a chaotic imbalance generally, although this isn’t always the case. Secondaries are never Gifted.
➤ Cosmetic: Fairly self-explanatory, Cosmetic Mutations are those that do not grant a power or enhance any senses, but are just aesthetic in nature. Examples being a seeming lack of pupils in eyes or pupils being a similar or different colour to one’s eye, retractable nails, markings, horns, pointed ears, etc... There are no limits to how many cosmetic mutations can appear at birth.

All Mutations have a classification they are ordered into, as seen below with mutations listed:
Hereditary
These mutation types are 100% guaranteed to be passed down to descendants and do not take up a classic primary or secondary mutation slot. This type of mutation is highly coveted as it functions separately from other mutations due to being genetic. Hereditary types are only found among clans or tribes which have these, unless the member has ventured out from their clan or tribe. Hereditary Mutation types are also considered the next step in human evolution, as they are and evolution of an existing Mutation. These specific types are often sought after, being rare and considered valuable, and people are willing to do almost anything to get their hands on individuals with these types.
➤ Beast Taming: The only known (ooc: at the moment) Hereditary type "Mutation", Beast Taming was once classified as an actual mutation until it was found that more and more people with this ended up passing it down to their offspring, and as such has become the only known Mutation to be hereditary rather than a lottery of what will be obtained. Beast Taming, as the name implies, grants the user to bond with an animal partner (only one) at a young age as well as when the animal is at a young age. Both animal and human partners have near perfect communication with one another. Notable animal taming clans/tribes that exist are Eagle and Lynx tribes of the once Pacific Northwest region of the ancient North America.
Elemental
Users with these mutations have classic elemental abilities, and can range from C- all the way up to S+ in their rankings & skill.
➤ Atomos (Lightning): The user is granted the ability to manifest lightning from their body and their surroundings. Depending upon Class, the user is capable of devastating blasts of multiple multidirectional lightning strikes. This also makes the user faster due to the electrical currents within them. Immune to lightning and can absorb natural lightning when struck. When using the lightning, the user's eyes glow a light teal.
➤ Tundra (Ice): The user is able to manifest ice from their body and can even create ice storms, ranging from hail to blizzards depending on Class. Immune to all forms of cold.
➤ Hurricos (Wind): The user is able to manifest wind from their body and can even create devastating wind attacks like tornadoes on a large scale to powerful slicing winds that can pierce and cut the foes if focused in a condensed wave depending on their Class. Immune to wind chill.
➤ Vulcanus (Fire): The user can manifest flames from within their bodies, and can produce fires hot enough to turn things to ashes. Some S+ users have been rumoured to create lightning with their fires, but that's due to their flames being white-hot and channeled into thin fire-like whisps that look like lightning. Immune to all forms of heat and cannot be burned.

Visual
Users of this Mutation are gifted with extraordinary vision and vision based skills. Ranges from C- to a very rare A- in their rankings & skill.
➤ Birdsight: Allows the user to see from a bird's eyes.
➤ Nightsight: Allows the user to see clearly even in pitch darkness.
➤ Mutation: Description
Auditory
The user has better hearing or vocal skills. Ranges from D- to B+ in their rankings & skill.
➤ Enhanced Hearing: Allows the user to have enhanced hearing, able to hear the smallest and quietest of sounds
➤ Siren's Call: Allows the user to lure others via song or speech.
➤ Booming Voice: The user is able to project their voice over a long distance and be heard clearly, up to a mile (1.6km) away.

Regenerative
Almost always an S-Class mutation, this type of mutation revolves around healing, whether it be to oneself or others. The lowest this Mutation can be is A- and is always Gifted.
➤ Healing: The user is granted the ability to heal others' injuries with their own energy without the aid of medicine. The greater the injury or wound, the more energy it takes from the user. Cannot resurrect the Dead, but can revive if the victim has been "gone" for under 10 minutes, but this takes multiple healers to do so. They cannot heal themselves, it would take another healer to heal them.
➤ Regeneration: The user is granted the ability to self-heal, being able to regenerate even their worst wounds to an extent. However, if a wound is potentially fatal, there's no guarantee they'll heal at all. For example: there's no coming back from decapitation or midsection missing a sizeable chunk. The worse a wound is, the longer it takes to heal, even with a faster healing ability. Cannot heal others.

Winged
Users with Winged mutations have functional wings generally sprouting from their backs. Most often is a Secondary mutation despite all being B-Classed. Usually, but not always, seen above in the flying cities. While not all Winged mutations are exactly like the four listed below, they are an example of what they could be like.
➤ Raven: The user is born with black or dark coloured, feathered, wings that grant the ability of flight.
➤ Faerie: The user is born with wings insect-like wings that are fairy-like wings that grant the ability of flight.
➤ Angel: The user is born with pure white or light coloured, feathered, wings that grant the ability of flight.
➤ Demon: The user is born with leathery wings of any colour that are bat-like wings that grant the ability of flight.
Transformation
Users are able to transform partly or even fully into an object, or more commonly, a living being.
➤ Wolf’s Howl: Can transform into a direwolf, and gets all the physical attributes as a result. In normal form, they will keep their ears, tail, and fangs. They have a sharpened sense of hearing, smelling, and sight even in their human forms.

Gravitational
The user is able to manipulate the gravity around them
➤ Levitation: The user can manipulate gravitational forces around them to be weightless. It makes the user naturally lighter on their feet.

Communication/Telepathic
The user is able to telepathically communicate with certain creatures/people
➤ Animal Whispering: Can communicate with any and all animals, does not have full connection to them unlike the bonded pairs of Beast Tamers. What was originally the Beast Taming mutation before it evolved.
➤ Telepathy: Can communicate with other humans by telepathic means and read their minds (limited). Often hunted down for feared and coveted reasons alike. People with this mutation often keep it hidden that they have it.
